about prism india

What Is PRISM India ?

PRISM India — short for Partnering Resources for India in Sustainable Movement — is a national platform built to strengthen the way India approaches Corporate Social Responsibility. It is a Samabhavana initiative in collaboration with RoboSpecies Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a pioneering EdTech company driving Robotics, AI, IoT, STEM, and Digital Literacy across India

At its core, PRISM India believes that meaningful CSR cannot happen in silos. Real, lasting social change requires Government, Corporates, and Civil Society to sit at the same table — share knowledge, align resources, and act together.

PRISM India makes that table possible.

Since its founding in 2013, PRISM India has grown into India’s most credible CSR conversation platform — hosting India’s first CSR podcast, convening multi-stakeholder dialogues, and building the infrastructure for responsible corporate giving that reaches communities that need it most.

INDIA'S FIRST CSR PODCAST

India's First CSR Podcast — Hosted by PRISM India

Long before CSR became a boardroom conversation, PRISM India was already hosting it.

The PRISM India CSR Podcast is India’s first dedicated podcast on Corporate Social Responsibility — featuring conversations with India’s most influential CSR leaders, government officials, war veterans turned social advocates, and civil society pioneers.

Each episode brings a different voice to the table: a corporate CSR head reflecting on what worked, a government official outlining the policy landscape, an NGO leader sharing ground realities. Together, they build a living archive of India’s CSR journey.

what we do

How PRISM India Is Changing India's CSR Landscape

Building the Dialogue

a structured platform for honest, high-quality dialogue between Government officials, corporate CSR heads, NGO leaders, and social scientists. These conversations identify gaps, surface solutions, and spark partnerships

Engaging National and International Corporates

brings national and global corporations into a shared knowledge ecosystem — helping them understand civil society needs, align with government priorities, and implement CSR programmes that actually work on the ground.

Aligning CSR with India's Development Goals

Every discussion, podcast episode, and partnership brokered through PRISM India is anchored in India's most critical development challenges — aligned with the UN SDGs and India's own national development agenda. PRISM India doesn't just talk about CSR. It helps move the needle.

Forging Partnerships, Exchanging Resources

facilitates the formation of multi-sector partnerships and the responsible exchange of Corporate Socially Responsible funds — ensuring money flows to the right communities through the right implementing organisations.

WHY PRISM INDIA MATTERS

12 Years of Building India's CSR Conversation

PRISM India is the first initiative in the country to place unrelenting focus on converged public-private partnerships in the area of social development. Our work is guided by India’s developmental priorities and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“PRISM India is not a compliance platform. It is a movement.”

Jasmir Thakur Host, PRISM India Podcast

India’s CSR ecosystem has changed dramatically since Section 135 of the Companies Act made CSR mandatory in 2014. But mandatory spending doesn’t automatically mean meaningful impact. The gap between corporate intent and community outcome remains wide — and that’s precisely the gap PRISM India was created to close.

Through its podcast, conferences, and multi-stakeholder dialogues, PRISM India has spent over a decade pushing for a smarter, more transparent, and more accountable CSR ecosystem in India.
